Overview
AugPick ("the App") is an unofficial tool for ARAM: Mayhem in League of Legends, developed by Ullim. It is not endorsed or sponsored by Riot Games. This privacy policy explains how the App handles information.
No account
The App has no sign-up, sign-in or payments.
Camera and photos
When you point your camera at or snap the augment screen or loading screen, or pick a photo, the App reads the text on your device only (Apple Vision text recognition) to find champion and augment names. Camera frames and photos are discarded as soon as the text is read, and are never saved or sent anywhere. Only the names read are kept, in the game records on your device. When you pick from your photos, the iOS photo picker passes only the one photo you choose; the App has no access to your photo library.
Stored on your device
Game records (your champion, the augments you chose, wins and losses, etc.) and settings are stored on your device. The records themselves are never sent; only the items listed under App usage analytics below are. They are deleted when you delete the App.
Data and settings downloads
When the App starts, it downloads augment score data (Firebase Hosting) and feature settings (Firebase Remote Config). Downloading data files sends request information such as your IP address, and downloading settings sends your Firebase installation ID and app version, to Google.
App usage analytics (Firebase Analytics)
To improve features, we collect feature events (game start and end and the number of rounds, the number of enemies and whether enemy-aware picks were used, whether augment data downloaded, whether you picked your champion on the loading screen, how a photo was read and whether it worked, whether you reached the recommendation screen, which recommendation rank you picked, whether you won or lost) along with device model, OS, app version, country and approximate location inferred from IP address, and an identifier created for each installation. We never collect photos, the set of champions and augments, or the advertising identifier (IDFA). This data is not linked to you and is kept for 14 months. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, nothing is collected until you allow it in Settings; elsewhere, turning off "Allow app usage analytics" in Settings stops collection.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the App crashes, we collect crash information (where the error occurred, device model, OS version, app version, Firebase installation ID) to fix the cause, kept for 90 days.
Send diagnostics
If you tap Settings › Send diagnostics, you can send the text the camera read from the augment screen in the last 40 seconds, the App's decisions, and the app and data versions to a destination you choose in the iOS share sheet (such as Messages or Mail). The App never sends this on its own, and it contains no photos, device identifiers or summoner names. The log stays only in your device's memory and disappears after 40 seconds or when the App closes; once sent, it is kept according to the destination you chose.
International transfers
Google LLC (United States): Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config and Hosting. Data is sent over the network when you use the App and kept as described above. Transfers from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland to the United States rely on the safeguards Google uses, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Legal basis (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
App usage analytics is based on your consent; crash reports and settings downloads are based on our legitimate interest in providing a stable App. You can withdraw consent in Settings at any time.
Your rights
With no account, the App cannot identify you. Records on your device are deleted with the App. To request access, deletion or restriction of analytics or crash data, or to object, contact us below. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Children
The App is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect children's personal information.
Changes
If features such as ads or subscriptions are added, we will update this policy and post it on this page.
