Privacy Policy

Overview

낱말퀴즈 ("the App") is developed by Ullim Studio. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

Data We Collect

The App has no account registration and does not collect information that directly identifies you, such as your name or email address. Game progress and settings are stored locally on your device. When you use the features below, the information those features need is transmitted.

Sharing Result Images

When you share your game result via KakaoTalk, the result image is uploaded to Ullim Studio's server (Vercel) and served through a share link. Uploaded images are automatically deleted after 90 days.

Asking Friends for Help (SOS)

When you use SOS, the state of the puzzle you are stuck on (grid layout, hints, and letters you entered) and a push notification token for answer alerts are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), and a link is sent via KakaoTalk. When a friend answers through the link, the answer and an optional nickname the friend enters are stored as well. Stored requests are automatically deleted 90 days after they are created. To request earlier deletion, contact us below.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

Google AdMob

We display advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. This may include device identifiers, IP address, and usage data. On iOS, use of the advertising identifier depends on your App Tracking Transparency (ATT) choice. Google's Privacy Policy

Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is played (stage starts and completions, hint usage, etc.).

Firebase Crashlytics

If the App crashes, Firebase Crashlytics collects crash information (where the error occurred, device model, OS version, app version, etc.) so we can find the cause. It does not include game content or information that directly identifies you.

Firebase Cloud Messaging

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to notify you when an SOS answer arrives. A push notification token is issued only if you allow notifications.

Kakao SDK

We use the Kakao SDK to share SOS requests and game results via KakaoTalk. Sharing happens only when you choose to share, and Kakao's privacy policy applies. Kakao

International transfers

The following services used by the App may process information on servers outside Korea: Google LLC (United States) — Firebase Analytics (usage information), Firebase Crashlytics (crash information), Firebase Cloud Messaging (notification token), and Google AdMob (advertising identifiers, etc.); Vercel Inc. (United States) — images uploaded when you share a result (automatically deleted after 90 days). SOS requests are stored in Google Firebase's Seoul region. Information is transferred over the network while you use the App and is kept as described in this policy and each provider's policy. Kakao sharing is provided by Kakao Corp. in Korea.

Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
