Matgo Showdown Privacy Policy

Overview
Matgo Showdown ("the App") is developed by Ullim Studio. This privacy policy explains what information the App processes and why. The App has no account registration and never asks for your name, email address, or phone number.
Information we process and why
(1) Anonymous account identifier and nickname — an anonymous account is created when you first open the App. You start with an automatically assigned nickname, which you can change in Settings. Purpose: daily and monthly rankings and grades, and screening for inappropriate nicknames. Once a day, nicknames near the top of the rankings are checked by AI for profanity, sexual content, insults, hate, harassment, impersonating the operator, or advertising. A flagged nickname may be replaced with an automatic one after the operator reviews it. (2) Game records — date, play history (the order of cards played), score, time taken, etc. Purpose: recalculating scores on our server to keep rankings fair. (3) Usage information — app instance ID, app usage events, device type, OS and app version, and approximate location based on IP address, collected by Firebase Analytics. Purpose: improving the service. (4) Crash information — crash logs, device type, OS and app version, and installation ID, collected by Firebase Crashlytics. Purpose: fixing errors. (5) Advertising identifier and approximate location — Google AdMob processes your advertising identifier and an approximate location inferred from your IP address to serve rewarded ads. Precise (GPS) location is not collected (see Advertising). (6) Purchase records — if you buy Remove Ads (₩4,900), RevenueCat stores an anonymous purchaser ID created for each installation and your purchase record (product, transaction identifier, purchase time, and store country). Purpose: verifying and restoring your purchase. Payment is processed by the App Store or Google Play; neither the App nor our server receives your payment method or card details, and our server does not store whether you purchased. Your anonymous account identifier and nickname are never sent with usage, crash, advertising, or purchase information.
Information visible to other players
Your nickname, score, rank, and grade are shown to other players in rankings and on your profile. Your play history is not public. If you change your nickname, today's and this month's rankings show the new name, while past daily rankings keep the nickname you had at the time.
Advertising
The App shows rewarded ads, only when you choose to watch one, through Google AdMob. On iOS, the App asks for tracking permission when you first try to watch an ad; if you allow it, you see personalized ads, otherwise non-personalized ads. On Android, personalized ads use your device's advertising ID; you can turn off ad personalization in your device settings. Google uses the advertising identifier and an approximate location inferred from your IP address for personalized ads and ad measurement; even with non-personalized ads, approximate location may be used to show locally relevant ads and to prevent fraud.
Retention and deletion
Your anonymous account, nickname, and game records are kept until you delete them. Tapping Settings > "Delete my records" immediately deletes your account and records on our server and all records on your device. In rankings that have already closed, the rank is kept so that other players' ranks don't change, but the nickname is replaced with "Deleted record" so it can no longer be linked to you. Because you cannot return to a previous anonymous account after deleting the App or changing devices, please use "Delete my records" before deleting the App, or contact us below with your nickname. Crash information is kept for 90 days. Purchase records are kept by RevenueCat and are not deleted by "Delete my records". To have them deleted, send us the order ID from your Apple receipt (starting with MT) or your Google Play order number (starting with GPA.) and the date of purchase using the contact below. Deleting them removes Remove Ads on that device; you can get it back with "Restore Purchases". Payment and refund records are kept by Apple or Google under their own policies and applicable law.
Service providers and international transfers
The App uses the following service providers: Google LLC (United States) — Firebase (anonymous sign-in, game record storage, server functions, app integrity checks (App Check), Analytics, and Crashlytics) and AdMob (advertising); RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) — verifying and restoring Remove Ads purchases; Anthropic, PBC (United States) — screening for inappropriate nicknames. Purchase records are stored on RevenueCat's servers in the United States. The game record database is stored in the Seoul region; sign-in, usage, crash, and advertising information may be processed on Google's servers in the United States and other countries. Once a day, our server sends Anthropic only the text of nicknames near the top of the rankings over the network (API); no anonymous account identifier, device information, or score is sent. Anthropic deletes this data within 30 days (up to 2 years if it is flagged for a usage policy violation) and by default does not use it to train its models.
Your rights
You can change your nickname or delete your information with "Delete my records" in the App at any time. To request access to or suspension of processing of your information, contact us below.
Security
All communication is encrypted. Game records are saved only through our server functions; the App never writes to the database directly.
Age requirement
The App is rated for adults only (19+ in Korea). It is not intended for anyone under 19 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
