Quizvana Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 1, 2026

Overview

Quizvana ("the App") is a trivia game made by Ullim. This privacy policy explains how the App handles information.

Anonymous account

When you first open the App, it creates a random user ID through Supabase anonymous sign-in. We don't ask for your email, name, phone number or age. This ID is used to store the records and settings below on our server. So you can keep your records after reinstalling the App or moving to a new device, the sign-in key for this ID is kept in your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain, Android Block Store). If iCloud Keychain or Google backup is on, this key is included in your Apple or Google backup; we don't receive your Apple or Google account information.

Play records and settings

When you answer a question, we store the question ID, the option you chose, whether it was correct, the time you took and the time limit, when you answered, and whether you left the App while the question was on screen (such questions don't count toward your score). When a round ends, we store the mode (including whether it was a practice round), the time-limit multiplier applied to that round, the score, best combo, number of correct answers, your skill rating before and after the round, and the app version. We also store settings such as question language, daily goal, starting level and skill rating, a review list made from questions you missed, and daily records such as your streak, longest streak, rest days left and the last day you met your goal. To set day and league-week boundaries we store your device's time zone, and for country rankings and country questions we store a country (your device's region setting, or up to two countries you choose in the Me tab). Your country is never determined from your location. Purpose: checking answers, fair scoring, matching difficulty to your level, league and country rankings, review, and finding faulty questions. Kept for as long as your account exists, except that individual answer records are deleted after 25 months, leaving only summaries such as your skill and rank in each category. If an anonymous account isn't opened for two years, all of its records are deleted; because we have no way to contact you, we can't notify you first.

Reporting a question

When you report a question, we store the question ID and the reason you chose (one of four). Reported questions are checked again against their sources by Anthropic's AI (Claude), and a question that is likely wrong, for example because several people reported it, is taken down first. Only the question and the report reason are sent; your user ID and anything else that could identify you are not.

League rankings

When you take part in a league, an automatically generated random nickname (such as "Blue Fox 42") and your league score for the week are shown to other players in the same group (up to 30 people). While there are few players, empty spots are filled with practice opponents, which are labeled as such; promotion and relegation are decided among people only. On category leaderboards, anonymous players' names are not shown to others; you see only your own rank. Your real name, country and other information are not shown.

Notifications

If you turn on notifications, we store your device's notification token and whether you opened a notification and when you last responded. This lets us reduce notifications to once a week and stop them on day 17 if you don't respond. Notifications are passed through the Expo notification service and delivered to your device by Apple or Google; they contain notification text and in-app information such as your league rank. You can turn off each kind of notification in the Me tab, or all of them in your device settings.

App usage analytics (Firebase Analytics)

To improve the game, we collect events such as choosing a daily goal, the level from the placement quiz, starting and finishing rounds (mode, category, correct answers, number of questions, best combo, average answer time), finishing the daily quiz, sharing results, the reason for a question report, questions voided because you left the App, meeting your daily goal, streaks continuing, ending or using a rest day, reviews, joining a league, rank changes and weekly results, allowing, reducing, stopping or resuming notifications and whether you opened one, viewing leaderboards and earning expert badges, along with question language, daily goal, skill tier (one of five names), device model, OS, app version, country, approximate location inferred from IP address, and an identifier created for each installation. This data is not linked to your user ID and is kept for 14 months. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland (or if your device region is unknown), analytics starts off and is collected only if you turn it on. The App decides this from your device's region setting and time zone; if either points to these regions or can't be determined, analytics starts off. In any region, you can turn it off or on at any time in the Me tab.

Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

If the App crashes, we collect crash information (where the error occurred, device model, OS version, app version, Firebase installation ID) to fix the cause, kept for 90 days.

Access logs

To run the service and prevent errors and abuse, our server (Supabase) keeps the IP address and time of sign-ins and server requests as access logs, which are deleted automatically after 7 days.

International transfers

The App processes information outside Korea through the following companies; all data is sent over the network while you use the App. Supabase, Inc. (United States, East): anonymous user ID, play and round records, settings, review list, daily records, time zone and country, nickname, notification token and response times, reports and league records, kept for as long as your account exists (until you delete your data; individual answer records for 25 months), and access logs (IP address and time) kept for 7 days. Google LLC (United States): app usage analytics kept for 14 months and crash information kept for 90 days. 650 Industries, Inc. (Expo, United States): notification token and notification content, processed only to deliver notifications. Anthropic, PBC (United States): the content of reported questions and the report reason, with nothing that could identify you, used to re-check the question and kept under Anthropic's policies. If you don't want these transfers, you can turn off analytics in the Me tab, or delete your data and stop using the App; features that need your play records will then be unavailable. Transfers from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland to the United States rely on the safeguards each company uses, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Legal basis (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

Your anonymous account, play records, settings, daily records and league ranking are based on performing our contract to provide the game; question reports, crash reports, access logs and marking questions you left on our legitimate interest in an accurate, fair and stable App; notifications on your consent when you allow them on your device; app usage analytics on your consent when you turn it on in the Me tab.

Deleting your data and your rights

In the Me tab › Delete data, you can delete your anonymous account together with your play and round records, settings, review list, daily records, notification token, reports and league records, and the sign-in key in your device's secure storage. In finished leagues only your own row is removed, and values combined so that no one can be identified, such as question difficulty, remain. Deleting only the App does not delete your records on our server; if you reinstall, the key in secure storage brings them back. To delete your records, please use Delete data in the App. To request access, deletion or restriction, or to object, contact us below. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Children

The App is not designed for children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 (or under the minimum age in your country). We don't ask your age; other players see only your automatic nickname and score, and there is no way to write posts or chat.

Changes

If this privacy policy changes, we will post the update on this page.
