How to play
- The first time you open the app, choose how many rounds a day you'd like (1, 3 or 5), then answer five questions to find your starting level.
- Today's Quiz is ten questions a day, the same for everyone playing in your language. Quick Play mixes questions to your level. Tap a topic chip to play just that topic or a subtopic.
- After each answer you see whether you got it right. After a round you can look back at your misses, each with a short explanation and its source, and misses from online rounds come back starting the next day.
- Quick and topic rounds, plus Today's Quiz, earn league points. Leagues restart every week, and you compete with players at a similar level to move up.
FAQ
My league has "practice rivals".
Until more people join, empty spots are filled with practice rivals, and they're labeled. Only people compete for promotion.
I think a question is wrong.
Use the flag at the top right of the question screen, or Report on a missed question after the round. A question you report while playing doesn't count toward your score. When several people report a question, we take it down right away and check it again against the source.
I left the app during a question and it didn't count.
If you leave the app while a question is on screen, that question is skipped and doesn't count. This keeps things fair by preventing look-ups.
My streak reset.
Your streak grows on each day in a row that you meet your daily goal. Days follow your device's time zone. Every 5 days you meet your goal earns a rest day (up to 2), and a rest day automatically covers a day you miss so your streak continues. If you miss more days than you have rest days, your streak starts over.
Can I turn off sound?
Tap the speaker at the top right of the question screen, next to the flag.
If I reinstall, do I keep my progress?
On iPhone, your sign-in key is kept in your Keychain, so reinstalling keeps your progress. If iCloud Keychain is off, it may not carry over.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Me › Delete my data. This deletes your records on our server and the sign-in key on your device, and can't be undone. Deleting only the app leaves your server records. See the Privacy Policy for details.
